I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.
We’ve all had those moments where things get to a point where we have to laugh. I’ve done it recently. Unfortunately, I can’t remember what it was. I think it was something at work. Now I remember. It was when I was asked to do something similar to another thing I was asked to do. I had stirred up a bit of an issue following direction from something else. I laughed because following that same direction would cause more issues. It’s something I’ve been pushing back on for a while and it was all coming to ahead. I had to just laugh instead of get frustrated.
I had a discussion with a person on Friday about how we were doing something. It wasn’t getting them what we needed but was working perfectly for what we needed. I could tell the person was frustrated and tried to interject some lighthearted comments that were clearly that way. The person picked up on them and I think appreciated them. I like lightheartedness I think it breaks up the monotomy and mood around frustrating things. Gotta life life a little.
