Daily Stoic(s)
I am blogging everyday (or nearly everyday) on The Daily Stoic.
Yesterday - What We Should Know By The End
Working on myself is a life-long endeavor. The sooner I improve the more free I become in life. Not being held down by negative things. This is an interesting angle to me. I’ve always had the mindset of self-improvement. I’m much improved from 10 years ago. I feel like I’m hitting more of a stride to become better now that I’ve gotten certain habits and thoughts to a better place. I still know that there’s a lot more work to be done. It’s trying and I know I’ll get there. Really there is no there until the end. Then I am a finished product and what I’ve done to improve is my legacy.
Today - A Simple Way To Measure Our Days
Live each day like your last is a bit confusing for me. What does that actually mean? I get that there are certain activities. If it truly were my last day I’d do a lot of things differently. If I do it today though it may seem weird or out of place and it doesn’t advance me for the next day. I get the idea of being pure in your interactions. Would I still do this daily stoic or spend an hour reading? Likely not as I would try to use the time to hang out with people. Even then what would those chats be? Would they be beneficial or would the elephant in the room over take the conversation. I’m probably thinking of this too literally.
